Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب الطب باب ما جاء فى الدواء والحث عليه

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَقَدِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلاَقَةَ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ قَالَ قَالَتِ الأَعْرَابُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلاَ نَتَدَاوَى قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ تَدَاوَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَضَعْ دَاءً إِلاَّ وَضَعَ لَهُ شِفَاءً أَوْ قَالَ دَوَاءً إِلاَّ دَاءً وَاحِدًا. قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ قَالَ الْهَرَمُ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِى خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ. وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
Some Bedouins asked, "Messenger of God, should we seek treatment (i.e. when ill)?" He replied "Yes bondsmen of God, seek treatment, for indeed, God did not create an ailment without creating its cure or remedy (1), except for a single ailment." They said, "Messenger of God, which one is that?” "Aging," he replied. Footnote: (1): The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, either said "cure" or "remedy", not both.
